It’s a crying shame the AO3 tag does not read: Steve Rogers Bucky Barnes. Because he does.

100 % interested in anything you might have to say about Bucky Barnes and his sad, resigned little quirk of an almost-smile just before he obediently leans back for yet another round of torture.

[Embers.]

Well, I don’t like talking about what my vids mean as it closes down individual interpretation and that’s very boring and depressing in the extreme. There’s nothing worse than reading someone saying “I had thought X but the vidder said Y”. It’s a tiny death. But I’m happy to go over some of the technical considerations and practical aspects of making them, (so far as I remember cause I don’t make notes or plans or keep any projects sorry).

[…] So this music has these loops and they build up and swap about, and I was thinking about - this vid didn’t really do it in the end but at the time I was thinking about how

HAPPY-SONG RECOVERY MIX FOR THOSE SUFFERING IN THE AFTERMATH OF CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 {listen}

Are you suffering from uncontrollable sadness? Waking up in the night and weeping about the Winter Soldier’s mask? How about Steve Rogers’ shield falling away in the wreckage? Are flashbacks to painful scenes haunting you throughout the day, impacting on your productivity? Do you seek out music as a solace only to find a deluge of overwhelmingly heartbreaking mixes? Boy, have I got the solution for you! Here is a mix full of soul-lifting, humanity-restoring, steering wheel-thumping tunes, all of which are certified as ‘more than mildly relevant’ to the characters of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Enjoy! Tone down that skin-trembling rage and sadness with some nice refreshing frenzied banjo playing, life-affirming beats, soaring vocals, and cheery-creepy piano chords.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Must be played at extremely loud volume.

Vidding

gottagetmeoneofthese:

When you finish a section and you feel all accomplished and think ‘Man, I’m making good progress! That only took me five hours to get the timing right and everything!”

image

And then you pull out, and you see you’re not even halfway done. Your shoulders slump in defeat and you just wanna cryyyyyy.

image

Or worse yet, you’re almost done and have been for months but you just can’t find the right clip(s) to use in that one darn section.

Dang I love being a vidder :D
